Acappella Bengals is a registered home cattery located in Central Texas. Our goal is to raise Bengal cats and kittens with excellent markings and sweet temperaments. We desire to place beautiful Bengal kittens in loving homes where they will be an enrichment to the family.

What is a Bengal Cat? Bengal cats are bred from crossing Asian Leopard cats to domestic cats. NO, they are not related to Bengal Tigers except by species name, Felis bengalensis. Bengal cats are neither large, wild nor dangerous. In fact, they are even-tempered, playful and affectionate pets. Their striking markings and velvet-soft pelts make them unique in the feline world.

What makes Bengal cats different from any other cat?
The Bengal kitten's fur is as soft as velvet. In the quality cat, the tips of each hair is translucent, giving them a gold glitter. Sleek and athletic, like their ancestors, Bengal cats love high places and leap effortlessly to their perches. They are playful and very intelligent. Once you become familiar with bengal cats, you will see them everywhere-on commercials, in ads, on cards, in movies, TV shows, etc.

Are they wild?
No! Bengal kittens and cats are energetic and playful. Like dogs, they bond to their owners and usually come when you call them. Usually, they will stay close and follow you around the house. Bengal kittens and cats love to play in water and to be right with you wherever you are. Need help with those dishes? They are just a lot of fun. Michele says of her Bengal cat Sam, "
He now fetches and will actually bring the object back to you.  We have had so much fun doing that and laughing that a cat fetches." Thanks for the update, Michele

Why is there a different price on your cats?
The price depends on what you want. Do you want a pet? Or a breeder? Or a Bengal cat to show? We want your Bengal kitten to fit your life, family, and goals.

Why are your cats more expensive than others?
The quality of the Bengal kittens determines the price. There may be less expensive cats, but we  work very hard to raise Bengal kittens that are healthy and very well socialized. Our quality Bengal kittens have outstanding markings for the breed. Things to look for include a break in the necklace around the neck, lots of glitter, black paws and black tip to the tail. Not all cats are the same quality or as socialized. We specialize in Bengal cats that are raised as part of the family. Wherever you buy your Bengal kitten, visit the cattery first!! Choosing your kitten based on price often leaves a dissatisfied buyer and a black mark against the name of Bengals. Please call and I'll be happy to explain why I say this.

We invite you to browse our site and see our cats. Our desire is to provide a beautiful Bengal kitten with a sweet personality for your family. Thank you for coming!

Bengals do so great in pairs! Here are Clinton's two 16 week olds having a ball! This is why it is so good to get them in pairs. They entertain each other and you get to watch and laugh!
